Setting Selector Display Preferences

The OASIS selection tool allows individual selectors to customize certain display features relative to their specific accounts.  Log into OASIS with your username and password at http://oasis.proquest.com.  To see the options available:

1. Click on the Administration link in the left column, then on Manage Account.

2. This will take you a split-screen view, defaulting to the Security tab display in the lower half. These settings are managed centrally by our "Ratifier" in LTS so the options are grayed out. Click on the Preferences tab to see the characteristics you can customize:

3. In the Preferences panel you'll find a number of display options, including what screen appears after logging into OASIS. The default is the Search Screen, but if you scroll down the Start Node menu you'll see other options, including Slip Notifications, which will list your newest batch of records. You also have the ability to show a "Brief" record display, which removes bibliographic the data from the Title column that is included in the other columns (e.g., publisher, date). If the Split Screen view is not to your liking, you can turn it off in favor of pop-up boxes that display when various tab element icons (representing Title Details, Approval Profile Matches, Alternate Formats, etc.) are moused over.

4. Click on the Save button to save your preferences. It may take a few seconds for this action to complete.


Changing Your OASIS Password

Follow the same path indicated above -- Administration --> Manage Account -- and click on the Password tab. This will display a screen that will allow you to change your password. Click the Save button when finished.
