Using Library of Congress (LC) Subject Headings to find books about films can be productive, but it helps to know that the term LC uses for movies is MOTION PICTURES. For example: MOTION PICTURES--AESTHETICS or MOTION PICTURES--JAPAN or WOMEN IN MOTION PICTURES. In the library catalog, enter MOTION PICTURES as a Subject search in the box. Entering multi-word subject headings in quotation marks will search for them as exact phrases. (See below.) Also see this list of subject headings related to film.
