Vendor Systems

OASIS is the selection and ordering system developed by Coutts/ProQuest, which supplies materials through the Library's primary approval plan for academic books published in the U.S. and Canada. See the OASIS sub-pages under the Selection Tools tab for more information.

AMALIVRE: French language material

Casalini Libri: Italian and Spanish language material

Harrassowitz: Germanic language material

Yankee's GOBI site: GOBI is the interactive web site for Yankee Book Peddler (YBP). Though our approval books are no longer supplied by YBP, we are still active customers. Access to GOBI requires an individual account which can be set up for you by Library Technical Services.

Usage Data

CUL Usage Statistics: via CD wiki; COUNTER and non-COUNTER usage reports from hundreds of publishers and vendors, mostly for calendar years 2008-present.

You will also find a number of usage reports among the Selector Data Dashboards , including:

- three-year comparisons of details of e-journals usage by title, publisher, and platform
- annual year counts of e-usage by resource type. Data not available in Folio; data are from EBSCO Consolidated files
- annual data from EBSCO Consolidated files, received twice a year

Borrow Direct/ILL requests
We have Selector Data Dashboards that provide counts as well as details of BD/ILL loans from CUL to other universities, and from other universities to CUL. For loans to CUL, title names are available, but no further information about the title is available. Patron group and department names are included when available.

When ILL requests for recently published monographs that meet specific criteria, ILL will purchase a copy of the requested title as part of the library's Buy or Borrow program. Records for purchased titles are not forwarded to selectors.

ILL requests filled by Mann.
On request, Mann's Interlibrary Services Department runs an annual report of monographs and serials requested by Mann patrons. This report is distributed electronically to all selectors. The selector for monographs typically reviews the monograph report and purchases appropriate items. All selectors use the serials report in evaluating subscriptions.

Patron Purchase Requests
Purchase requests submitted by patrons via the Recommend A Purchase form (which goes directly to LTS) since 7-1-22 are listed on one of the Selector Data Dashboards. Details include fund code, LC class, subject, title, holdings location, PO line number, receipt date, request date, and amount. Filters include PO line receipt status and PO line payment status. To protect patron privacy, requester name is not included.
