There you can select for your own field, and others closely related, to see where people have ended up. The bottom line? Creating Lists of Potential Employers

- GuideStar PremiumSearchable directory that provides detailed information on more than 850,000 nonprofit (501) organizations. Profiles cover mission and programs, financials, leaders, and most importantly, full text via PDF of revenues, expenses, programs, activities, executive salaries and board members.
- UniworldA repository of multinational firms or branch - including wholly or partially owned subsidiary affiliates - operating around the world. Databases are searchable by country, region, state, keyword, zip code or postal code, industry code, revenue and number of employees.
- PitchBookPitchBook is a private equity and venture capital database with in-depth information and statistics on companies, deals and investors. Use PitchBook to locate startups based on criteria like industry, location, or keywords relevant to your expertise. To access Pitchbook, select Log in > Log in with SSO > [Cornell email address].
- Leadership ConnectFormerly Leadership Library, Leadership Connect allows searching and browsing within individual directories or across all directories using single or multiple criteria, such as name, job title, industry, and geographical location.

Professional Societies and Trade Organizations
Connect with others in your field at conferences you attend; most of these societies offer extensive professional and leadership development opportunities, award or fellowship opportunities, travel grants, links to job postings, etc. Become a member now! In addition to Indeed and GlassDoor, which you might already be familiar with, there are additional websites to research salaries of the positions you seek. You can also ask professionals in the industry to give you a typical starting salary for someone with your experience level.
Some job search sites are increasingly posting salary ranges as a filter, such as Hiring Cafe. There, you can also use your degree and 'major' (area of expertise) as filters for additional roles.
