Components of the Introduction Section
The introduction section contains the following:
- Name of the company
- Date of incorporation
- Main businesses of the company
- Mission statement
Where do I look?
Start with the Annual Report and the Company's Website. Some Company profile databases (like CapitalIQ) may have this as well.

If you can't find basic company information in Capital IQ, or the Company website, you might try e-mailing the company directly.
Not every company will have an official mission statement. If your company does not have a mission statement, be sure to indicate that is the case, and suggest an appropriate mission statement for the company.
