Interlibrary Loan
If Cornell University Library does not own a certain book or subscribe to a certain journal, in most cases this resource will be available from another university library in the country. If the resource you are looking for is print material, it will take longer to be delivered to Cornell than if it is an e-journal. E-books cannot be requested through inter-library loan (ILL).
To be able to make an inter-library loan request, you must first register for this service.
- Request a scan of an article
- The fastest way to request a book from another university library is Borrow Direct
- If Borrow Direct does not have the book among the affiliated university libraries, then request the resource via a nation-wide inter-library loan request
