International Labor and HR News
Most major newspapers have coverage of international labor and hr topics. These are typically found in sections titled Business, Work, or Economy if you go directly to a newspaper's web site. The resources highlighted below are those that either include content from multiple sources (so, you can search a single topic across sources) or that provide special access as a result of the library's subscription.
Library Subscription Sources
- FactivaFull-text online service for international news and business information. Covers over 28,000 sources in 23 languages in more than 150 countries. Some company and market research is included. Factiva includes full-text coverage of the Wall Street Journal.
- PressDisplay.comLibrary PressDisplay provides online access to over 700 newspapers from more than 55 countries, displayed in their original format and accessible by country, language, or title.
- FT.comFT.com is an international business and finance news web site that is associated with the London based financial newspaper, Financial Times. Current Cornell community can create a personalized account, using Cornell e-mail address.
- China Core Newspaper DatabaseFull-text electronic versions of 673 Chinese national, regional and local newspapers or periodicals that appear at least on a weekly basis. The database includes current issues of journals as well as archives of back issues of journals, and is reproduced with original pagination. Special newspapers relate to legal issues in China, the environment, foreign policy, literary production, economics and finance, education and various areas of science and technology.

- Nexis UniAn interdisciplinary, full-text database of over 18,000 sources including newspapers, journals, wire services, newsletters, company reports and SEC filings, case law, government documents, transcripts of broadcasts, and selected reference works. Formerly LexisNexis Academic.
Freely Available Sources
- SHRM: Global HRThe Society for Human Resource Management provides a "focus area" on global issues, including articles, country guides, and hot topics. Membership is required to access some of the content.
- Workplace Issues TodaySelected by the Catherwood Library Reference Staff each Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays, WIT is a free alert service, providing abstracts and links to workplace-related news stories covered in the major media.
