Current, and historical, newspaper articles and "popular" (written for the general public), magazines articles can help you understand how a disease or disorder is understood by the general public. You might find an article by a disease sufferer (sometimes, by famous individuals), ads for medicine, or articles about popular therapies, e.g., "How I cured my child's allergies with raw milk." It's a great window into the popular understanding of a disease.
