Use the catalog Advanced Search

  1. From the library homepage, open the library catalog

  2. Select the Advanced Search

  3. Combine keyword and phrases
  4. Enter alternate terms, when necessary, and use the pull-down menu to select [any]
  5. Browse through your initial results. Select Modify Search and add terms to narrow, or broaden with alternate terms [any].

*Searching a country name, as an author, will sometimes find reports authored by governmental bodies or agencies.

Open Subject Heading links

  1. Open records and follow subject heading links, or
  2. Copy and paste the subject headings into a Subject Browse to view the contents organized by subheading.

In the example below, "Discrimination in criminal justice administration" is the main heading and "United States" is the sub-heading. What are some of the other sub-headings?
