Step Four: Evaluating your results and finding full-text articles

After you search a database like PubMed, your next step is finding pertinent articles on your research question. The titles of the articles you find will be the first clue that something might be relevant to your topic. 

Reading the abstract, a short summary of the article often found in the PubMed entry, is the second step to determining if an article is appropriate. These can also help you decide what kind of study it is.

If the title and abstract sound interesting, it's time to find the full-text.  Click on the publisher or Get it! Cornell icon in the upper right-hand corner of the article entry (see below).  For more help accessing full-text articles, see the "More Research Help" folder in Blackboard, or go to this guide.
