The Kheel Center for Labor-Management Documentation & Archives in the ILR School’s Catherwood Library is one of the foremost archives in the country that documents both labor and management. Although we are affiliated with the ILR School, we are open to anyone who wishes to use our collections, including: Cornell undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and outside researchers. We are located on the second floor of the Martin P. Catherwood Library. Access to Catherwood Library is through Ives Hall on the Cornell University campus (view on map).
Upon entering Catherwood Library, pass the Circulation Desk on your left and proceed towards the glass exhibition cases at the end of the hallway. On your left will be a sign for the Kheel Center and a set of glass doors leading to our reference area. Our staff will point out lockers for storing your belongings and direct you accordingly.
Visitors to the campus may also find the guide to visiting Cornell University and maps of the campus and the city of Ithaca helpful.
The Kheel Center Reading Room is open by appointment only. Researchers can request appointments through our online portal.
