CC works towards building knowledge in the arts in India. Since its inception in 2011, it has collaborated closely with institutions in India and abroad to create exhibitions and seminars on art. This website is intended to fill in the lacuna caused by an absence of publishing in the arts, a lack of reprints, and a shortage of institutional infrastructure to support knowledge in the domain of the arts

Indexes around 400 scholarly and trade journals, magazines, books, and newspapers covering theater, dance, film, television, stagecraft, broadcast arts, storytelling, and more. It draws from both current files and selected backfiles to 1864 and 134 publications are included in full text.

Centre of South Asian Studies Film ArchiveApproximately 50 individual collections totaling in the region of 80 hours of footage taken as 16mm or 8mm home movies from between 1911 and 1956.
