Databases with Cited Reference Searching
The Library has access to a number of databases through Web of Science. The following databases also include cited reference searching:
- Web of Science Core Collection
- BIOSIS Citation Index
- Data Citation Index
- Derwent Innovations Index
- Preprint Citation Index
- SciELO Citation Index
Cited Searching Results:
- Every reference listed on the page has been cited by at least one article indexed in Web of Science.
- Cited references are sorted alphabetically by cited author.
- References containing the same cited author are sorted alphabetically by cited work.
- References with the same cited author and cited work are sorted in reverse chronological order by cited year.
Searching Web of Science
You can use the Search In drop-down to select a specific database or select "all databases" to search all databases available.
To do a cited reference search, you must select the "Cited References" option - Web of Science defaults to a document search.
Please note: Doing a cited reference search with "All Databases" selected does not truly search all databases. The results will only come from databases that have a 'Cited References' search option.
