Return to maps and find your census tract
Return to the Social Explorer mapping tool and find your census tract. This is described in Step 2 of the Making a Table tutorial.
Determine the range of your map
- Make sure "Tract" is chosen from the top drop-down menu.
- Note: Depending on the population density of the region, your map should encompass a larger or smaller geographic area (i.e., choose a larger area for sparsely populated regions with large census tracts).
- Zoom out to include the census tract and some of the surrounding area.You should capture multiple census tracts in your map.
