- NNIP - National Neighborhood Indicators PartnershipClues about who might be collecting data on various topics. This is a little bit hit-and-miss and you won't necessarily find reports for your city, however, the list provides some clues about what may have been collected and by whom (agency or interagency projects). Search tip: After selecting a topic area, click on the Publications link at the top of the screen to find published reports (sometimes including relevant data).
- Opportunity AtlasA comprehensive Census tract-level dataset of children’s outcomes in adulthood using data covering nearly the entire U.S. population. Estimates children’s outcomes in adulthood such as earnings distributions and incarceration rates by parental income, race, and gender.
- State and Metropolitan Area Data BookMetropolitan data starts on page 123. 2020 data available in print in Olin & ILR reference collections.
- State of the Cities Data Systems (SOCDS)The State of the Cities Data Systems Dataset provides data for individual metropolitan areas, central cities, and suburbs. The only dataset being actively updated is the Building Permits Database.
- United States Conference of Mayors: ReportsYou may be able to find some useful data here. A number of these reports are surveys across cities on various topics.
- United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)Wealth of datasets maintained by HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R).
- Urban Institute Data ToolsIncludes topics on child welfare, aging and retirement, crime, climate change, education, housing, healthcare and more.
