Accessing Electronic Resources
Students in the EMHRM program can use all Library licensed electronic resources from anywhere.
- Search and click on links from within the Library website for databases, online journals, article texts, and other resources that require a Cornell subscription. This should activate the Cornell Web Log-in form which requires a NetID and password for authentication as a current Cornell staff, student or faculty member.

Ebooks are listed in the Cornell Library catalog. This guide, Ebooks at Cornell, provides helpful information on using a variety of ebook packages and software platforms.

The Access Anywhere bookmarklet can easily be downloaded to your browser to facilitate authentication, and help connect to online licensed resources without going through the library website.

While traveling, also consider installing software to connect to Cornell via VPN (Virtual Private Network) which adds secure access to Cornell campus networks and is usually not blocked by firewalls.

Articles and book chapters may be requested.
- Book chapters or journal articles from print materials held at Cornell can be scanned and sent online, at no cost, through the Document Delivery service.

Book chapters or journal articles from print materials not held at Cornell can be scanned and sent online, at no cost, through Interlibrary Loan.

Other libraries may allow access for members of the Cornell community.

Columbia University in New York City has a reciprocal relationship with Cornell which includes library access and borrowing privileges.

Borrow Direct Plus libraries provide on-site reciprocal borrowing privileges.

Many research libraries participate in the SHARES program which supports on-site access to collections and services.

Local college or university libraries might allow visitors to use their collections on sight. Check for visitor policy pages before travelling in case an application ahead of time is required.

New York Public Library provides library cards free of charge to any person who lives, works, attends school, or pays property taxes in New York State.

Local or hometown public libraries usually provide interlibrary loan services for their patrons, which may include borrowing books.

Online Library Services (WebEx, etc.)
In addition to all of the electronic and online books, articles, and databases, you have access to the most important resource of all online! Your EMHRM librarian will be happy to work with you by phone, email, or videoconference (WebEx, etc.) to help you with using all of these resources.
