UPDATE: Fall 2024
Two big issues re: CU Print so far this Fall:
1. Make sure that patron's laptop is connected to Eduroam. Many patrons are connected to Visitor or personal hot-spots. CU Print will only work with secure Wifi, and Eduroam is the most secure Wifi.
2. Beth from CIT reports that they are seeing issues with CU Print software installations when AI or AI enhanced browsers are used for the download process. Some of these AI tools are renaming the installation files and preventing the software from connecting to CU Print. If you run into a patron who mentions they installed the software but cannot find the files, ask them which browser they used and recommend they use Chrome or Firefox.
Directions
CU Print is available for Windows 11. Currently, the page does not list it - but it should work. For issues outside of your expertise, please refer patrons to CIT for help. For install and printing issues that arise Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, patrons can schedule a Microsoft Teams appointment with CIT from this link: https://tinyurl.com/CUPrintHelp. Patrons will need to authenticate with Cornell credentials.
