Need a Good Example?
If you have never looked at an actual business plan, you may be surprised at the amount of research involved in making the business case. Here are a few options, including past business plans written by students peers.
- Electronic plans via Gale Virtual Reference Library: The "Business Plan Handbook" includes sample business plans as well as "how to" articles and information for starting a new business. TIP: Click the "Business" category in the middle of the main page or use the search box.
- Business Plans Index (Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh) provides links and references to the "Business Plan Handbook" (above) organized by topic
If you are looking for resources on franchising, try looking at this list of publications from the International Franchise Association. One resource that could be very useful to this project is Expanding A Business By Franchising. For other titles, run a search for it in the Cornell Library catalog. Since your project involves an international component, you might wish to see what we have in our collection relating to international franchising.
