Research Process
The research process is a series of multiple steps. Look at creating a research plan. Your instructor may have given you a topic/question to research or the freedom to come up with your own topic/question. Just take a few moments to think about the following:
- What am I trying to accomplish?
- How interested am I in this idea?
- How much time do I have?
- What information and resources are available?
- Does your issue have sub-topics that you need to know more about?
- What is the assigned length of the research paper?
Assignment/Topic
Critically examine the notions of “Africa Rising” or “Emerging Africa” that refer to the African economic growth since the beginning of the 21st century amidst the global economic crisis of 2008 and its aftermath. Explain the impact, if any, of the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that since January 1, 2021, the free trading under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) among 54 African countries entered into effect. Use economic and social indicators to substantiate your arguments. You may focus on the continent, sub-regions (i.e. West Africa, East Africa, Central Africa, Southern Africa, North Africa) or any specific African country.
The paper must be 10-11 typewritten pages and double-spaced, including endnotes/footnotes.
