Cornell-in-Washington: Requesting items

Library Research Guide

You can request available books from the Ithaca campus library by scrolling down to select the Request link, and then selecting Cornell-in-Washington for the campus location.

If an item is checked out, you may be able to request a Recall of the item, however this can take several weeks. From the library record, scroll down to select Request, then select Recall, and Cornell-in-Washington for delivery location.

You can request electronic delivery of articles that are not available at the Cornell Library, via Interlibrary Loan. You will receive the article via email within 1-3 days.

If there is a chapter within a book, or an article in a print, only journal held in the stacks, you can request Document Delivery.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide BorrowDirect to the Cornell-in-Washington center.

Book Delivery

Recall item and have it sent to CIW

Interlibrary Loan

If you have not yet signed up for Interlibrary Loan, you will be prompted to register. The form is a little wonky. See below for some tips on filling out the registration form.

Once this is done, you won't have to do it again. When you are searching a library database, look for the Get it! Cornell link. If we don't have the article, you can place a request via Interlibrary Loan.

Sign up! You'll be glad you did.
