Search tip: excluding results from your search
The search above finds many, many publications from the Congressional Research Service. It's a great resource, but, in this case, it's overwhelming the search results with a record for every update.
Sometimes, in searches, there's a term (or even a publisher), you'll want to exclude. Here's how!
- In the library catalog, select the Advanced Search
- In the Advanced Search, enter your search terms on the first line. I entered: Russia Ukraine History.
- Next, select the radio button for "not" and enter the terms you wish to exclude from your search. I entered Congressional Research Service. Note, in this case I also used the drop-down menu to identify "congressional research service" as a phrase.
