ORCID for Cornell Units

Colleges, departments, centers and other units may have an interest in encouraging their constituents to sign up for an ORCID iD en masse. Potential applications include querying the ORCID API for information on Cornell's research activities, or integrating applications with ORCID. As a member of the ORCID US community, Cornell University has access to ORCID's Affiliation Manager. The Affiliation Manager allows institutions to invite individuals without an ORCID to register for one, and to invite new and existing users to authorize Cornell to add information about an individual's Cornell affiliation to their ORCID record.

ORCID for Cornell Graduate School Students

Every graduate student pursuing a research degree (master’s or doctoral) is required to have an ORCID prior to the end of the second registered semester. Students must complete the registration process and grant permission to Cornell to add an “education” affiliation entry to the ORCID record.

For more information, visit the CU Graduate School ORCID page.
