The Electronic Text Center's Locally-Mounted Online Databases
- The Electronic Text Center Database CollectionConsists of locally-mounted online versions of seven databases: the Oxford English Dictionary, 2nd edition; Past Masters (Intelex); and five Chadwyck-Healey databases: The Bible in English, The Database of African-American Poetry; Editions [and Adaptations] of Shakespeare; Goethes Werke; and the Patrologia Latina Database. All these databases are also listed as individual titles below.
Notes on Physical Access to ETC titles
Information about the physical locations listed in the Access column:
ETC10 refers to the Windows computer that runs the Windows 10 operating system. It is available outside the Map Collection door in B12 Olin Library. [ETC3] is the ETC computer (the white computer next to ETC10) that runs CD-ROMs on the Windows 95/Windows 98 operating systems that will not run on ETC10. ETC3 shares the same keyboard and mouse that is used for ETC10. Help using these computers is available in Room 104 Olin Library--the Walk-in Reference Room. Hours that in-person help is available in Room 104.
Resources that are installed on hard drives are also noted as such in the Access column. Internet Resource refers to resources that are available online (may be Cornell access only). Normally titles labelled Internet Resource are linked to the online version. Olin stacks or Library Annex means the disks or disks are now shelved in the stacks or at the Annex and may be borrowed for personal use.
