This guide provides resources to students participating in CRP 3850/5850, Circular Cities, and CURTA-Y. This guide will walk you through our partner organizations, the history of Binghamton, reuse resources and organizations in Tompkins and Broome Counties as research and scholarship relevant to reuse and circularity.

Cornell Undergrad Research to Action
Cornell Undergrad Research to Action (CURTA-Y) is an organization dedicated to teaching high school students in the Binghamton area to conduct research and pursue policymaking to advance circularity in their communities.
The Circularity, Reuse, and Zero Waste Development (CR0WD) partner network
CR0WD Partner Network is a community of Academics and community leaders dedicated to addressing the system of building of material waste in New York State.
Just Places Lab
The Just Places Lab serves as a platform for students and scholars to conduct research and action centered on community memory, imagination, and the just care of places. The lab is home to a number of projects, including CURTA-Y and the CR0WD (Circularity, Reuse, and Zero Waste Development) network of which it was a founding partner.
Circular Cities Lab
The Circular Construction Lab in Cornell AAP's Department of Architecture is a design research program with the goal to move away from linear economic processes towards a linear economy through the industrial construction industry.
Susan Christopherson Center for Community Planning
The Christopherson Center collaborates with communities in New York State to address unmet needs at the intersection of climate resilience, equity and the built environment through inclusive, participatory, data-driven and results-oriented regional approaches.
