Get Articles

Articles not owned by Cornell University Library may be obtained by Interlibrary Loan.

Interlibrary Loan is always free for current Cornell University students, staff, and faculty.  Delivery is electronic unless you choose to receive requested item(s) in print.

To use Interlibrary Loan, you must set up a one-time profile that will remain active until you separate from Cornell University.  Please have your Cornell ID number, commonly found on your Cornell ID badge, handy.  When asked which library to route your request through (Olin or the Law Library), please select Olin unless you are affiliated with Cornell Law School.  In the request form for individual items, you can select which Cornell University Library site you prefer to pick up your materials from.

Get Books

The best way to get books from outside of Cornell is through Borrow Direct, a rapid inter-library loan service which generally can obtain a book within four business days.

You may also obtain books through Interlibrary Loan, although it will take longer than Borrow Direct.
