Russian-Language Resources for Biographical Information of Beekeeping Authors

This page has links to the websites that I used to write the biographies of many of the beekeeping authors in the "Significant Authors" section of this LibGuide. These pages also contain biographical information for authors that are not very well-represented in Mann Library collections, several of whom are listed in the "Related Works" page. All of these websites are in the Russian language. 

Ryazan Federal Center of Apiary Science

This website of the Ryazan Federal Center of Apiary Science describes the Center's history of leadership starting at 1900 through today. This Center, located in Rybnoye, was the first research station dedicated to beekeeping in the Russian Empire, and was later turned into one of the first agricultural research stations in the USSR in the 1930's.  The following individuals were either directors of the Center, or were closely associated with the leadership at the time.
