The resources below help users identify and contact company HR and Labor leaders. ILR students should also take advantage of networking opportunities made available through faculty contacts, family and friends, and the School's development and career offices.
- LinkedInLinkedIn is a professional Networking site. In research it can be used to get an idea of who works for a company, what their role is, and what skills they may have. Note: Many profiles and features will be blocked in the free version, but it can still be a good resource to get a gauge of the employment atmosphere of a company.
- Leadership ConnectFormerly Leadership Library, Leadership Connect allows searching and browsing within individual directories or across all directories using single or multiple criteria, such as name, job title, industry, and geographical location.
- Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)The website of this major U.S. association for HR practitioners provides a wealth of information for its members and for the public. Additional electronic content is available at the ILR Library. Please ask for assistance at the ILR Reference Desk.
