Hybrid Access Options for library materials

On campus and away from campus:

  • Look for ebook editions and article pdfs/html in the library's databases.
  • In databases, follow the "Get it! Cornell" links to find the online journals/articles in the library's holdings.
  • Request scans of book chapters or articles from journals that are only available in print or that are not held at Cornell Library.
  • For book chapters, it is one chapter per request (To comply with copyright restrictions).

If you're on campus:

  • You can also request contact-less delivery of print books. Give it a little time. The item will be retrieved, checked out to you, and quarantined. Wait for the email that says the item is ready.

If you're away from campus:

  • Look for ebook editions and article pdfs/html in the library's databases.
  • Request scans of book chapters or, articles from journals, that are only available in print or that are not held at Cornell Library. It is one chapter per request (To comply with copyright restrictions).
  • If there's a book that you need that is only available in hardcopy, or not available at Cornell, you can request a library purchase of an ebook edition. It's not always possible, but we will do what we can!

See the Requests page for more information about each option.
