What is Twitter?

Welcome to the Olin/Uris Libraries workshop on Twitter.

Twitter (twitter.com) is the most popular microblogging service and latest Web 2.0 sensation. It's a way to exchange and broadcast snippets of information that answers the question: What are you doing? Whether you want to keep in touch with friends and colleagues, or follow breaking news, Twitter is a fast and easy messaging tool to use.
