This library guide is designed to help new Cornell law students learn about the services and collections available at the law library. You can find all the basic information you need to know to use the library and to succeed in law school study. For international students who are new to the American legal system, you will find dictionaries and study aids (some of them in foreign languages) that will help you with your study here.
Most of the resources and services described in this guide are available only to members of the Cornell community. Please check with a reference librarian or with the circulation desk if you have questions about whether a resource or service is available to you.
The Law Library posts about services, research, and events in Scoops: the official newsletter of Cornell Law School. This newsletter is published and sent via email every Monday when classes are in session. You can see the current issue of Scoops and previous issues here.
The Law Library will also periodically send announcements via email, so please make sure to check your inbox for emails from the Law Library.
