Strategies
Open the library catalog and do a subject search for the language name-- e.g. Khmer Language
Find recommended titles in bibliographies (reference lists) and search the library catalog by title. Open the records and click the Long View button to find the subject heading links.
Do a Keyword or Guided Keyword search in the library catalog. Open records that look promising and click on the Long View button to find the subject heading links.

On each level in Olin Library, books are shelved in different locations depending on their SIZE. Regular size books can be found in shelf ranges marked with WHITE signs. Single-plus (+) books can be found in shelf ranges marked with PINK signs. Double-plus (++) books can be found in shelf ranges marked with GREEN signs. |

- TIP! Click the Long View button to see the subject headings. Click on the subject headings to broaden or narrow your search.
Subject Search:
[language name] language, e.g. khmer language
Try this search in the Library Catalog and note the subject subheadings.
Keyword Search:
A general keyword search from the library home page, or the relevance keyword from the catalog search page, will retrieve records that contain your keywords in the title, subject, and notes field. Look through the list of results and, when you see a title that looks promising, open the Long View of the record to see the subject headings.
Guided Keyword:
The Guided Keyword allows you to combine search words and phrases to either narrow or broaden your search.
