Commodity examples

Example 1: Find information on futures contracts for raw jute.

Step 1:      < CMDTY > CTM < GO > -Take you to the Contract Table Menu for commodities
Step 2: 3) FIBR Fibers
Step 3: Select 12) M4A Jute, Raw.

From here you can go to a contract table or get descriptive information. If you knew the codes ahead of time, you can jump right to where you want to be:

Step 1:      TRAWKO < CMDTY > < Go >

Example 2: Get price curve for NYMEX Oil futures.

Step 1:      < CMDTY > CCRV < GO >
Step 2:      Select 1) NYMEX Crude Oil

Other functions of interest:

< CMDTY > SRTE < GO > - shipping route rates for dirty, clean, and dry bulk carriers.
< CMDTY > BBL < GO > - "The Oil Barrel" see what a barrel of crude oil is good for.
< CMDTY > CMSP < GO > - commodity spreads
