Resource not at CUL?

Articles not owned by CUL may be obtained by Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary loan is always free for current CU students, staff, and faculty.

Books The best way to get books from outside of cornell is through Borrow Direct, a rapid interlibrary loan which generally can obtain a book within 4 working days.

You may also obtain books through Interlibrary loan, although it will take longer than Borrow Direct.

 
 

Find Articles

Get to know your databases. See the Physical Sciences Library site for a list of Physics and Astronomy Databases, including ADS, Web of Science, arXiv, INSPEC, and more.

 

Find Journals

There are a few ways to locate journals:

  • Search the CUL Catalog for print and electronic journals
  • Electronic journals are also listed on the e-journals list
  • Selected list of e-journals in the physical sciences on PSL site

Find books in the CUL Catalog. A few tips:

 

What's the Annex?

Many older journals and books are located in the library Annex, a storage facility on campus. You have three options:

  1. If you need an article, get it scanned for free. You will be emailed when your pdf is available. This generally takes less than two working days. Document Delivery
  2. Items may also be delivered to any library on campus. This generally takes two working days.
  3. If you're in a rush, you may also visit the Annex reading room
