Searching the Library Catalog for Books and More
There are two library catalogs --the new Library Catalog (WorldCat Local) and the Classic Catalog -- both with advantages and disadvantages. For more information on the strengths of each, see Search Tips.
The new Library Catalog displays non-Roman scripts in transliteration as well as the original script (but not always). The Classic Catalog displays only the transliteration.

Searching Non-English Materials: A title or keyword search can be set to limit results to a specified language. (Please note: limits will NOT apply to Author, Subject or Call Number searches.) Setting language search limits: 1. The Set Search Limits button allows you to set multiple limits prior to entering search terms. 2. To apply search limits to an existing set of search results, use the Post Limit button. |
