Science Fiction & Fantasy

The widespread acceptance of science fiction and fantasy literature and film as rich areas for academic research -- along with the development of genre theory since the 1970s -- has spurred the creation of many specialized print and online resources for literary theorists, cultural historians, film scholars, and others. This guide aims to assist Cornell University students, faculty, and staff in identifying and accessing books, journals, and electronic materials that treat science fiction/fantasy literature and film as objects of serious study.

Land Acknowledgment

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land.
