Getting Started with Research
This guide contains select print and electronic resources for scientific topics, in particular peer-reviewed scholarly sources rather than popular or secondary sources.
For this class you'll need to find peer-reviewed scientific research articles on a science topic, such as winter ecology or animal intelligence. By the end of this class you'll:
- Know the difference between web and library resources and popular (secondary) and scholarly (primary) sources
- Understand the sources for scholarly resources at Cornell University Library
- Search article databases and retrieve peer-reviewed scholarly articles easily
