Eyewitness interviews from the Holocaust in the Visual History Archive of USC Shoah Foundation currently total 52,310 in number and include "interviews with Jewish survivors, homosexual survivors, Jehovah’s Witness survivors, liberators and liberation witnesses, political prisoners, rescuers and aid providers, Roma and Sinti (Gypsy) survivors, survivors of Eugenics policies, and war crimes trials participants." This growing collection constitutes the largest archive of its kind in the world.

USC Shoah Foundation recorded the vast majority of the Holocaust testimonies in the Visual History Archive during its formative years. Between 1994 and 1999, the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation — now USC Shoah Foundation — exceeded the goal of founder Steven Spielberg to collect 50,000 Holocaust interviews.
