Zotfile is a Zotero plugin to manage your attachments: automatically rename, move, and attach PDFs (or other files) to Zotero items, sync PDFs from your Zotero library to your (mobile) PDF reader (e.g. an iPad, Android tablet, etc.) and extract annotations from PDF files.

How to install Zotfile

After you’ve installed Zotero 5, open a browser --either Chrome or Firefox

1. Download Zotfile (an *.xpi file)
2. Open Zotero 5
3. Go to Tools -> Add ons
4. Click on the “Gear” icon to the upper right
5. Click on “Install Add on from File”
6. Navigate to the .xpi file you downloaded and double click
7. Restart Zotero Zotfile will update automatically from now on.
