Proquest Ebooks Centrail is a multidisciplinary collection of ebooks that Cornell University Library subscribes to.  Individual titles can be accessed through the Library Catalog or the complete collection can be found at Proquest Ebook Central.

Printing and Downloading in Proquest Ebook Central

Viewing:

Proquest Ebook Central books can be viewed in their entirety online within the browser or you can download to your bookshelf for more features. Most of the functionality of the reader has now been moved to the browser version.  For more information please visit Proquest Ebook Central's help pages.

Printing:

When you access a title you are given a limit for printing for that title per log in.  It looks something like this:

When you click the print icon it will create a pdf that you can either save or print.

Downloading:

Some books are available for full download for up to 21 days:


In order to access the downloaded e-book you must download Adobe Digital Editions:

Tips:

  • Patrons first need to install Adobe Digital Editions (free online).
  • Patrons also need to set up an Proquest Ebook Central account.
  • Accessible on most computers and devices, but not the Kindle.
  • Up to 10 documents at a time per patron.
  • Multi-user documents can be full-document downloaded for up to 21 days*.
  • Some publishers prohibit full-document downloading of their documents.
