Getting Articles

Articles not owned by CUL may be obtained by Interlibrary Loan.  Interlibrary loan is always free for current CU students, staff, and faculty.  Articles will be delivered to you electronically, unless you choose to receive them in print.

Getting Books

There are a number of options for getting access to books that are not immediately available through the library catalog.

  • Use the Borrowing and Delivery page to initiate a hold, recall, request of materials from the Annex, and library-to-library book delivery.
  • Interlibrary Loan can get material that Cornell does not own from libraries worldwide.
  • Borrow Direct is a reciprocal borrowing program among selected Ivy League colleges. If Cornell's copy is unavailable, you can borrow it from another Ivy or MIT. It is fast -- usually only four days.
