Finding Special Format Items: Microforms (Including Film and Fiche)

Microform Scanner

The microform scanner can be found adjacent to the circulation desk on the main floor of Catherwood. Walk towards the Kheel Center from the circulation desk, and the microform scanner is in the room on your left. For assistance using the scanner, please speak to a staff member at the circulation desk.

Finding Microforms

Unrelated Microfilm

Our collection includes microforms (miniaturized images) of historical documents, which can be found by searching the library catalog. Microforms do not circulate, and require a special scanner for viewing their contents (see instructions to the left).

Much of our collection has been moved to the Library Annex in recent years, and will have to be requested prior to use or used on site at the Annex. Microforms that have not been moved to the Annex can be found in the microform room at Catherwood, located immediately to your left after entering the reference room on the main floor of the Catherwood Library.

Please note that the Kheel Center also has an extensive collection of microform material.
