Cornell Catalog

From the Library's home page, click on the Catalog link to search for materials held by Cornell.

Charged Books and Items Cornell does not own

If the catalog record indicates that the material is "charged," it means that someone else has signed out the book. You can recall it by clicking on request, and the borrower will be told to return it within two weeks.

If you want a book sooner or if Cornell does not own it, try Borrow Direct. Search for the book and if it's available from a Borrow Direct partner, we will have it shipped to you and it should arrive within 3-4 business days.

You can request items not owned by Cornell or a Borrow Direct partner through InterLibrary Loan. Items arrive anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks after you have requested them. We encourage you to utilize Borrow Direct if possible, as the turn around time is typically faster.

Book Delivery

Even though you're located off site, you can still utilize Cornell's physical book collection! See our guide to Library Access and Policies for more information on how to obtain a book.
