As a follow-up to the library session on Tuesday, March 24, complete the following tasks to test your knowledge:

  • Familiarize yourself with this guide. Peruse the music and media resources, as well as the general resources and practical links. Be able to articulate the main parts of the searching process as well as name a music-specific resource for two of the parts.

  • Use the Library Catalog to try out the three different ways of using subject headings outlined in this guide. (Hint: Begin with the Media Resources page, which illustrates one strategy; then look for two more strategies on the Music Resources page.) Find a book in the Library Catalog (other than Idolized) by using subject headings in any of these three ways.

  • Related to the first task, figure out what Fred looks like using ONLY this guide.
