Getting Started with Research

This guide contains select print and electronic resources for the study of Biology, in particular for the study of microbes.

For this class you'll need to find peer-reviewed scientific articles on a microbial issue of interest to you. This guide will show you how.

 

By the end of this class you'll:

 

  • Know the difference between web and library resources and popular and scholarly sources
  • Understand the sources for scholarly resources at Cornell University Library
  • Search article databases and retrieve peer-reviewed scholarly articles easily
