This guide is designed to introduce you to the US Census and the American Community Survey, as well as Social Explorer, a tool to help you find and map census data.

You will use Social Explorer to:

  • Locate statistics about your neighborhood, metropolitan area and the US
  • Make tables from the census data that you find
  • Make maps from the census data that you find
